Countryside Trek 


Before hitting the trail, you’ll have the chance to learn the basics of stopping and steering your horse. Our friendly team will guide you through these simple skills, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident before your countryside adventure.

 

Take a relaxed stroll with our Countryside Trek – a relaxed walk along country paths, off road trails, and open fields, all with the stunning Binevenagh Mountain in the background. Enjoy the calm and fresh air as you soak in the beauty of nature.

 

While you’re on the trek you may see our horses and ponies or sheep grazing around.

 

Join us for an easygoing trek that’s not just about the views but also about finding tranquility in the countryside. Let Binevenagh Mountain and our friendly horses make it a memorable experience.

 

We’ll finish the trek with a trot, a fun and energetic way to cap off your countryside experience.

Itinerary: 1-Hour Countryside Horseback Trek

Location: Binevenagh Mountain, Northern Ireland

10:45am: Arrival and Helmet Fitting

  • Arrive at the office and get fitted with helmets.
  • Meet your assigned horse and receive an introduction to horse handling basics.

Preparation and Departure

  • Mount up on your horse and ensure you're comfortable in the saddle.
  • Learn the basics of stopping and steering your horse before setting off.

Countryside Trek

  • Begin a relaxed stroll through picturesque country paths and off-road trails.
  • Enjoy the stunning backdrop of Binevenagh Mountain as you explore.
  • Keep an eye out for horses, ponies, and grazing sheep along the way.

Trotting Finale

  • Conclude the trek with a lively trot, adding energy to your adventure.
  • Return to the arena area to dismount and bid farewell to your horse.
  • Depart with fond memories of your horseback journey.

Note: Timings are approximate and subject to change based on group size and weather conditions. Please wear appropriate attire and footwear for the outdoor adventure. Participants are encouraged to bring water for the journey.

Contract Terms & Conditions

1- Booking

In order to make a booking the booking must be completed by the party leader (the client/guest) who must be over the age of 18.

This can be done by:

  1. Sending email 
  2. Complete a booking verbally over the telephone with us
  3. Complete a booking online through our website 

On completion of this the guest confirms that all members of the party agree to abide by the terms and conditions set out in this document. A contract will exist between the client and Crindle Stables as soon as the verbal or written confirmation of an activity/lesson/experience is made. This contract is governed by Northern Ireland law. In the unlikely event of a dispute both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Northern Ireland courts at all times.

Client/guests are required to provide details which truly and honestly reflect the personal information and Riding ability of all members.

On completion of the booking and riding registration forms (disclaimer / registration form) the client declares that the information provided is accurate for themselves and all other guests

I agree to always be honest and volunteer all relevent information about: my abilities and riding experience, any previous riding accidents and any medical condition(s) which may affect my ability to ride.

 

2- Payment by Customer

Payment are listed in GB sterling (£). In order to secure your booking full payment must be made. 

Payment can be made via

-    Booking engine connected to web site 

-    Bank transfer to Crindle Stables or other electronic transfer

-    Via Wise,

-    Via cash

-    A surcharge of 3% will apply to all card transactions in order to cover the transaction fees

 

3- Weight limit

Our maximum weight is 16 stone (224lbs/102kg)

If you are over limit then please let us know height, weight and riding ability and we will see if we have a horse that may be more suitable for you.

This limit is in place for the safety and well-being of our horses, if deemed necessary we reserve the right to ask riders to be reweighed before mounting
 

4-  Cancellation by Crindle Stables

Crindle Bespoke experiences are subject to availability. In the unlikely event that we will have to cancel your experience for reasons other than:-

 

  1. a) fault of the client
  2. b) force majeure

 

We will endeavour to offer you an alternative experience of at least comparable standard available. Crindle Stables accepts no liability for any costs incurred by the Rider client including travel arrangements made and paid for.

 

5- Cancellation by You

Bookings may be cancelled at any time prior to the lesson / activity date by written / email / text notification by the client. The cancellation date will be taken as a date that written information is received by Crindle Stables. Cancellation  are  as follows in the refund policy below.

Tickets can be used at any time during your session, however we recomend arriving nearing the start of your session to make the most of your time as you will need to leave the farmyard when the session ends.

 

6 - Refund Policy

Parties / all participants that provide more than 7 days notice for on-site activities or 21 days for off-site (beach / forest ride) can be rescheduled on one occasion.

No alternative will be provided for cancellations with less than 1 week notice for onsite activities and 21 days for off site activities.

Amending or rescheduling a booking will only be allowed at Crindle Stables discretion.

Purchases / activities are non refundable

We recomend arriving nearing the start of your session to make the most of your time as you will need to leave when the session ends.

In the case of bookings made using a gift voucher, no refunds may be given, one reschedule dictated by the client will be allowed provided notice of 1 week notice for onsite activities and 21 days for off site activiities (beach / forest rides). If further cancellations will result in the loss of your voucher.

 

7- Alterations & Changes

Occasionally the weather or otherwise, may dictate Crindle Stables making a slight change to an event or activity, in this instance  guests will be informed and can choose to participate in an ammended activity of the same value (for example an outdoor experiance changes to a fun indoor session due to exteemly poor weather) or reschedule for a future date.

8- Force Majeure

Crindle Stables regret that we cannot offer refunds or compensation in the event of cancellations or alterations as a result of force majeure (Namely and act of God). Force majeure is defined as war, threat of war riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, strike, lockdown, government action, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, flood & adverse weather conditions.

 

9- Rider information and responsibility

Riders will be required to sign a liability indemnity (disclaimer) form prior to embarking on any experience, this will apply to be ridden and non-ridden aspects of the experience. Riders are required to disclose true and accurate information about their Horse riding experience. Riders will be assessed of their riding ability prior to the departure of the experience. Crindle Stables reserves the right to exclude a rider from an experience should the rider be deemed incapable of riding safely without risking themselves or another member of the group. Crindle Stables will try to arrange an alternative for the rider but this is not guaranteed. Crindle Stables also reserve the right to change advertised locations due to circumstances beyond control. We reserve the right to refuse riding or other activities to those who exhibit behaviour that is believed to result in risk to themselves, to others, to staff and also to the horses. No refund will be available for cancellation of the trip or excursion is required due to any of the above. Crindle Stables accept no responsibility for any personal items or vehicles damaged or lost on site.

 

10- Promotion & marketing material

By engaging Crindle Stables to provide services, you consent to this of any photographic or video images from your experience with Crindle Stables for promotional and marketing materials.

 

10- Law

These terms and conditions of sale will be governed by the laws of Northern Ireland and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Northern Ireland courts. We are required by law to inform you that seals can be completed in English only and no public filing requirements apply.
